Lake Minnewaska Empty
PostSubject: Lake Minnewaska   Lake Minnewaska I_icon_minitimeSun Jan 25, 2009 3:44 pm

The last couple of weeks or so, the sunnies have been biting in about 12 to 16 feet of water. Just about any place you see houses, the fish are biting. We were up ther yesterday and caught about 45 in a 3 hour period.
the ice is about 2 feet thick, and there are roads out there to travel on.

Lac Qui Parle ice fishing contest has been changed to Feb 8th. 1 -4. Stuff given away all day, chance to win an ice auger too. Tickets are $1.00 a piece., two holes allowed, at Randalls Resort just North of Milan Bridge.

Not much going on at Lac Qui Parle, too much snow and no roads.

Good Fishing!!

Steve

The sunnies are still biting at Minnewaska, and even managed to get a couple of bass (smallmouth) and a few really nice crappies too.
Still using wax worms.
With wax worms DO NOT ALLOW THE TIP OF THE HOOK TO BE EXPOSED, THEY WILL NOT BITE. Change bait often, they really like the fresh ones better.
