| Don't even know what brand I got on my truck, I got them at wal-mart cause they were pretty cheap, but they have done well so far. I hate to put high dollar tires on a truck that is 12 years old and has 170,000 miles on it. | |

| I use to work at a tire shop, for good wear and long life, Michelin is the best, followed by Goodrich, Bridgestone, and Goodyear. General tires are the worst | |

| When my original car tires get down just a little more I will probably go for Michelin. I have some new tires on my 4 wheel drive truck. I do not even know what brand as they are an off brand of some type. Our little town of 2200 has a home grown tire place and their reputation is top notch so I just told them to put on some new tires and they were cheap compared to name brand tires.
A few years ago I did purchase Tiger Paws and had no problem with them. A brother in law used only Tiger Paws for years and liked them.
For years and years I used Firestones. Are they any good these days?

| Yea Bernie, firestone makes some pretty good ones. I have firestone on my truck now, they make many different kinds of tires from cheap to very expensive, it depends on what you want, if you drive a lot of miles don't skimp, get the good ones, if you don't drive much, go cheaper. Tiger paws are good tires, i've seen people get 80,000 miles from them. To get the most from any tire, rotate every 6 to 9,000 miles, and keep them properly inflated | |

I worked at a General tire store when I first got out of the Army. The 78 series tires were starting to become popular and general had a line called Jumbo 780's. We called them "Jumpin' Jumbos" because they were so many out of round problems with them.. The last set of tires I bought were for an Explorer my son now has. They were Continentals at Walmart and were rated for 80,000 miles. That's about what they have on them now and they are just about worn out. That's probably what I will get when I need tires for my truck. They were about $100 each.

| The last few years I have been buying car tires from Sears. Any problem with that? How do they stand by their warantee's? | |
