Its going to be below Zero in the morning with a wind chill way below Zero. Now, thats just to dang cold for Tennessee.

No doubt.... The sad but funny part is, Mike left the doors WIDE open the last few days. Now he's paying for it with frozen pipes in his pump house..... He should have not insisted on keeping those doors open, eh? LOLOL

I don't think it's a busted pump this time, thank God! He said that the pipes were froze. He didn't mention anything about the pump bursting. Let's hope and pray that it didn't!

The weather folks had me wrapping pipes yeasterday and then the projeted low was missed by 10 degrees because of cloud cover....Now theyre saying the low tonight might get to freezing...not sure.

I too am watching the temperature at night. If it gets much colder I will have to take steps to help out some fruit trees. It got all the way down to + 35 last night.

Bernie It Is A Real Ruff Year For Houses On The Lakes, The Snow Is Real Deep As Much As 3 Feet On Most Lakes So When You Drill A Hole It Floods Out. Now The Other Thing That Is Tuff Is If There Isn't A Road Plowed It Is The Next Thing To Impossible To Get The House Out. Im Looking At This Next Week On Taking Out The Portable For It Is Suppose To Be In The 30's For Temps, We Will Have To See Because When It Does That The Winds Generally Blow To Beat The Band.

CINCINNATI -- An arctic blast brought bone-chilling temperatures to the Tri-state, and strong winds will make the frigid air feel even colder.

A wind chill advisory is in effect for the entire News 5 viewing area until Friday at 6 p.m., and wind chills as low as -20 degrees or more are possible, especially Thursday night and early Friday morning.

A wind chill warning was issued for Franklin and Union counties in Indiana and Butler and Warren counties in Ohio from 11 p.m. Thursday until 10 a.m. Friday.
High temperatures should reach only 12 degrees Friday, despite forecast clear and sunny skies.

A chance for some additional snow is possible late Saturday morning, but the brutal cold should lessen somewhat in severity, with high temperatures expected to reach nearly 30 degrees.

Temperatures aren’t expected to exceed freezing until early next week.

The near-zero temperatures are part of a system that stretches from Montana to northern New England.

Ohio's previous low this winter was zero on Dec. 21-22.

Students, office workers and commuters waiting for buses in downtown Cincinnati all said they were outside only because they had no choice.

"I'm wearing long johns, a jogging suit, a scarf, hat, gloves, a sweater and a coat, and I'm still cold," said Ingrid Hicks, who was waiting for a bus to the airport so that she could fly to Atlanta to celebrate her grandson's first birthday.

She had about a 20-minute wait for the bus.

"On a day like today, that's 20 minutes too long," she said.The cold helped snap a water line on Kings Run Road near Winton Road just after 3:30 a.m., sending a spray of water across the road until crews could shut off the line. Cold Snaps Watermain, Floods Street

A cold weather emergency was declared in Cincinnati and northern Kentucky for Tuesday through Friday.

A cold weather shelter was opened between 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 a.m. at 634 Scott St. in Covington.

Additional shelters will be open throughout the day to people who have valid Kentucky state identification.

We still have a windchill advisory here. Will more than likely be here till early to mid week next week. Right now it's -4* with a windchill of -20*

I hear ya, Rock. It got above freezing here today too. Actually, we reached 22*. The winds are still bitter cold out though.
