I found this recipee and am thinking about trying it out. What do ya'll think??

This soap bait is better than any zote or ivory. Almost with all soap baits the bite is slow... and not suitable for rod and reel... because the animal fat is let out slowly. over a period of hours... IT stays on the hook better than most catfish baits.

1. Ivory soap
2. 1/2 cup of sugar
3. 1 chicken liver tub
4. 4tbls of garlic salt
5. a small container
6. 1/2 cup of boiling water
7. blender

First get the soap... and cut it into small chucks... then blend it, till it is real fine.. leave it in the blender...

add the 1/2 cup of boiling water

add the 1/2 cup of sugar and blend for 30 seconds

add all the chicken blood

add 1/2 cup of chicken livers and blend for 1 min

then pour into a container to set up. sprinkle garlic salt over the top. It should set up in about 30 mins.

The difference being that blood is release into the water in a matter of seconds... and the blended chicken liver is combined into the soap to keep the scent in the water. The soapbait stays on the hook a lot better. Keep it in the fridge and good luck.
