I just figured out how to use my cameras timer. I
got some pix while fishing alone but was not thrilled
with results.

Maybe if I couls extend the timer limit past 10 seconds I
would have a better chance of getting a good picture.

Often I take a picture of a fish with something to use
for scale reference.

Does anyone have good ideas on how to get good pictures
when fishing alone?

robby i know it would be more to pack to the fishing hole, but do you have a tri pod that your camera is on. maybe if it was on a tri-pod to were you don't have to bend down to manage the camera that would save in a few extra seconds. scratch

Robby, with those hogs you catch, all I notice is the fish anyway, doesn't really matter what the rest of the pic is. :face:

Well I guess if I get a real big fish I can just try to find
anyone to take pix for me.

I was fishing alone when I caught a 66 and went and
recruited a group of flathead guys fishing across
from me.

I explained I wanted someone to take pictures of a
big flathead. I pulled one out and weighed it. 47 pounds.
Walked to the water and released it and they started
hollering "I thought you wanted us to take pictures".

I told them yes but I wanted them to take pix of the big
flathead. When I pulled the 66 out to weigh it they
about fell over.

By the time they got the camera focussed and took
a picture I about fell over Shocked

I think you have some fantastic pictures. Especially taken by yourself! A tripod would probalby help ya set it up easier, though.

My gosh them are sure big cats.

I have been wondering about something. That is, what about the age of a cat. Will a large one that has been around a long time be as good tasting as a young one?
