I tried a sponge and some cheese wiz once and it worked pretty good.

I have been thinking of trying some sea sponge I have here at home and soaking it in chicken liver blood and see if it works. What does anybody think about this idea??

I Think You Are On To Something There, I Thought About That A Few Years Back But Never Tried It, I Bet It Would Work Great On The Channel Cats.

You might want to add some type of oil to the blood so it stays in the sponge longer....corn oil or something.

I Was Thinking The Same Thing But I Was Thing On Mixing In Some Sardines Oil And All, Or Even Smoked Oyster Oil That Should Do It.

Bacon grease mixed with cheese wiz makes a good attractant type bait.
