| Tell Us What Your Type Of Rod Is That You Use For Your Type Of Fishing, There Are So Many Styles Out There From Custom Build To Your Favorite Rod Off The Store Shelf. My Self I Have No Custom Built Rods But I Use A 8' Heavy Action Catfish Pro Rod For Fishing My Cats. As For Any Other Type Of Fishing I Like What Zebco And Shakespeare Has To Offer In A Medium Action To Lite Action For Walleye, Crappie And Pike. | |

| Well, I've so many I can't keep track(and I picked up a couple more old ones at a sale today), but I've got a 6'6" medium action Bass Pro rod with a Mitchell 300 that's my favorite. Great rod for channel cats, walleyes, bass or panfish in a pinch. Made the comment to Luke the other day that when I break it or have to retire it, I'll probably cry. I've got the same rod in a light action that is a good panfish rod also. | |

| I'm like Graybeard. I have more than I need. Don't have a particular favorite one. I'm like John in that I like a one piece rod any day over a two piece. But some of them that I have are two piece as it's the only way I can haul them around. One rod that I do use for catfishing quite a bit is a twelve footer that I built about 25 years ago. It's a two piece rod but have never had a problem with it. Built it off of a Fenwick fiberglass blank. I also have a 14 foot one piece rod that I used to use for Sturgeon fishing from the bank. Can only haul that one on the roof rack of my pickup, so it pretty much collects dust anymore. Jim | |

| I use a pair of 6' ultra-lights for everything but catfish. For catfish a pair of 6' foot Ugly Sticks (I usually only fish for channels). | |

| I have over 100 rods and reels It just depends on the fishing I plan to do. Bass (2) 5 1/2 foot lightning rods with shimano baitcasters. Panfish (2) Eagleclaw featherlight 6 1/2 foot zebco ultra light trigger reels, a custum bulit 4 1/2 foot on a Diawa Minispin handle. channels 6 foot and 6 1/2 foot uglies with various penn and shamono baitcasters. also various spin casters and spinning rigs. Flatheads Berkley glowstiks and ugliestik, with Penn209's , shamino baitrunners, heavy 7 to 10 footers. I have never had a proble with 2 piece poles as I haven't caught any really big fish over 20lbs. They have handled some large snapping turtles tough. Some brands Browning eagleclaw allstar G loomis sheakspeare Zebco berkley Diawa Fenwick When I go fishing I take 10 to 15 rods and reels Decisions, Decisions, decisions. | |
