Smoke Free I Is

Folks I Can Remember Way Back In 1972 When,Were,And What Kinda Cigarette I Started Smoking With And How Cool I Thought It Was To Be Like All My Friends. Now 36 Years Later I Wish I Had Never Touched Them Things But Feel Much Better Than I Did Waking Up Every Morning After Smoking 3to4 Packs The Day Before Never Again.

I Am Proud Of Myself Right Now Because 1 Year Ago Today I Threw Them Nasty Things Away, Yes I Have Some Health Issues Since I Quit But Man I Know It Would Have Been Alot Worse Had I Not Quit So I Feel Really Good About Myself Today 3 Cheers For Me I Am 1 Year Smoke Free.

Very good show Mike. I finally quit at the age of 42 after smoking lots since a teenager. It got so bad that I had to carry a bag with me to carry the packs, pipes (2) and cigars. I enjoyed it yes but one day I quit cold turkey. A month later I sat on a bar stool and smoked a full pack of Lucky Stikes and they were good. But then I quit again and have been free since. It is the mind that can control this thing and anyone can do it.

I was smoking 2 packs aday and couldn't quit but the Lord did it for me , took all the desire away and that was 36 years ago!!

WTG buddy, good to hear your still free of them.

I still smoke occasionally, maybe a pack every two weeks. Chew I am having no luck with....very hooked on Copenhagen Whiskey Flavored.

My thoughts have been consuming me a lot in the last month or so, that I need to stop smoking. There are many reasons that I have been thinking about this.

In May some time, Matt and I will be moving into a house. Not sure which one, the one he owns now, or a different one that we will buy together.

To get to the reason of this post, I have made a decision that when Matt and I move into our house, I am going to try to stop smoking. Chantix will be my aid.

Smoke Free Is The Way I want To Be!~! I will keep you updated on when I will be quitting and the progress I am making along the way.

I encourage anyone that is smoking to stop. We can stop together etc. and post our progresses on this post.

Mike has been a BIG influence in my decision. I have heard it all from him on my smoking. I know it's not good for me. THANK YOU VERY MUCH, Mike, for getting on me to stop smoking. It has finally sank in.... I am bound and determined to get rid of the cigarettes from my life. I know I will feel much better when my body starts recovering from all the damage the cigs have done for me. Even as a smoker, I can still smell stale cigarette smoke and it stinks to high heaven. I will be glad when I don't have to smell that nasty smell any longer!~!

Well peg you know you can always talk with me about this, i am not a cure all but i am here every day if ya need to talk.

It has been 2 years 9 months and 16 days and going strong, started walking 2 miles a day this spring and i could not do that last year, hell i couldn't walk to my mail box 300 feet from my house so things are going very well here. Plus i have also lost a total of 42lbs by walking and dieting and man oh man i feel so damn much better than the last 3 years past, but as i said things are getting better with every day it will not change unless you want it to.
