i just got back from my 1st crappie outing. i caught 31 crappie over 9" and 22 0f them were between 10" and 12". 75% of them were loaded with eggs. yum. they were all caught in water around 6'. i am ready for my 1st fry of the yr. yea

Thats Sounds Like You Had A Great Time, I Been So Busy This Year I Have Only Made It To The Lake Once My Self. They Should Taste Real Good Being Spring Crappie Congrats On The Catches.

I launched my boats for the first time this week. A buddy and I tested the waters to see what was biting and decided the crappie provided the best action.
Although most were small we did finally manage 15 good ones for him. We caught them on minnows and jigs but seemed like the bigger ones all came on minnows.

all of mine were caught on a black and chartruse jig tipped with a minnow.
