didn't have a scale but my guess is 10 to 12 pounds more to the 12 than the 10

Thats an old Myth they are actually really good gotta clean them fresh and fry them and if no one told ya you would think u were eating catfish. If not fried you can make killer fish patties from them and bake or fry the patties

I never ate dogfish either. I knew a place to catch lots of dogfish. It is probably still there. Actually it is on the Pentwater river between Pentwater and Hart Michigan, where I grew up as a kid. Would cast for those things and they would hit probably every forth cast. They were fun to catch and that is about it.

Bernie i think they are one of the most explosive fish out there as far as the power they have when there fighting, there real good destroying your tackle real fast to. we have a few lakes that have tons of them in it, about the only time i don't like to catch them is when they make there selves a nuisance while ice fishing with tip-ups like i said they can really do a number on the tackle. cheers
