Well, coongdog shot a monster, his son shot a big one 20 yards away from where he killed it the next morning, and dad shot a huge doe. The doe had been shot during bow season. Here are some pics.

I was kind of in a hurry when I posted these so if I wasn't clear enough coondog shot the monster 8, his son shot the wide 10, and dad shot the doe. I heard that my buddy Paul shot a huge 9 pointer. His wife tagged out in October so none is hunting the farm and there are some big ones running around there. That is also where dad shot his deer with white feet. We are headed out to hunt there tonight. I can feel it... that big 10 dad missed last year is coming home tonight.

I lied. No big 10 for me but we woke up at 5 a.m. and it was 60 something degrees and the wind was howling. High in the 70s made for bad hunting. I seen a big 8 pointer chasing a doe within 20 yards of me but no clear shot. This morning we were supposed to have storms but there has not been any rain what so ever today. And to top it off my ear is bleeding again. But thats okay. Tomorrow morning One of us is getting a deer and if my .270 goes off we are heading to the taxidermists. I started out this year with 2 bucks in mind that I would shoot. The big 8 I shot I had never seen before but he would've been my biggest so I couldn't pass him. Since switching to Pauls farm there are 2 big 10 pointers and some 8s that I would more than happy to take and will be my biggest deer. This year is like last year. New biggest buck or no buck.

Once the temp dropped here things picked up. Too bad I haven't seen anything I wanted to shoot. Here are some more pics. The first 2 are of Paul's stepson's first deer.

This one is Paul's 9 pointer. 23 inch inches inside spread.

Not quite as big as Paul's but here is another nice 9 point. Coondog's friend killed it.
