| Im sure you heard about it earlier in the year but if not you need to crawl out from under that rock lol A Japan angler caught a Largemouth earlier this year that had bested George Perry's long standing record of 22lb 4oz by only one ounce at 22lb 5oz and I agree with the official decision of making it a tie since the margin of victory is so small. Here is the article from today if ya got time take time to read it some good stuff. http://www.igfa.org/Records/World-Record-Largemouth-Bass.aspx | |

| That is an awesome fish for sure. That 2 ounce rule for fish under 25 pounds doesn't make much sense. In small fish 2 ounces could be quite a bit. I could see it in fish over 25 pounds where 2 ounces isn't much. I think it is kind of funny with all of those almost and should've been records that Perry's name should still be in the books. I say should because if you search through the IGFA records George Perry's name is not mentioned in largemouth bass. http://www.igfa.org/Records/Fish-Records.aspx?Fish=Bass,%20largemouth&LC=ATR | |
