new year start

this is how to start a new year !! I went out today and was sceptical because there was a southeast wind blowing about 10 miles per hour. I had found a hole last year but had never fished it for one reason or another ,so today I thought I would go look for it and try to fish it a little ! I was also a little worried about the size of bait I had to fish with so I tried DIFFERENT WAY OF BAITING WITH PERCH ! I took the perch and filleted the perch from top to bottom all the way across up to the gills and left it intact. Then ran the 7/0 circle hook through both the fillet and the
whole fish with the fillet folded over the head of the fish. This made the bait look twice as wide and the side of the bait that had the bones looked like a wounded bleeding fish!! with in 40 minutes to an hour I landed a 38 lb blu! We caught some other blu's on jugs but they were small about 3-4 lbers. here is a pic of the 38llb

buddy awesome fish and yes what a way to start a new year congrats pappy. that green grass kinda makes me jealous well only 3 to 4 months here before we see that.

yea it is pretty nice green grass that you don't have to mow
sometimes this month we should start the die off though!was only 23 here today when I went out and warmed up to maybe forty , all around good day!!
