| I was not leaving today until I caught atleast one channel cat. I caught two monsters. First fish bit about 15 minutes after I got there. That 9 foot medium action rod just doubled over and when I set the hook the drag just slipped. The fish just started peeling the 20 pound test line off of my 6500c3. After about a 10 second fight I finally got him in. Not much of a fish but it was the first cat of the year. Too bad the weather is starting to cool back down. | |

| It is not much, but it is a start. I fished all most all day today with only one bite. It was more than likely a little one like the one above because it pulled the bobber under for a couple seconds on let it right back up. the big channels usually try to take your pole. | |

| About how long does it usually take for all of your ice to thaw out Mike? I just wish I could catch some bluegill or something for cut bait. If I could get some fresh cut bait I could probably catch some bigger channels. Once I can get plenty of bluegill I have to make a trip to Mr. Kerby's. His pond has some blues up in the 50s. If I can get them while the water is still cold I can probably catch some of them big blues. | |

| Yes, it is a start, Willy! Better a little one rather than nothing at all. Sorry that you didn't get any fish today. Hopefully you will have better luck next time! | |

| Tomarrow is going to be in the 40s and the day after that is going to be in the 50s. So, guess where I will be. I will take a few pics even if I don't catch any if the weather is beautiful. | |

| Thanks guys. Those little bitty fellers are still the biggest cats so far. I had maybe a week of fishing weather and it turned cold on me. Most of that week was spent bass fishing. | |
