Bar room brawls

I guess an older fella that just retired here in Fairbury tried to break up a brawl in one of the bars last night and a friend of mines son was one of the brawlers, turned on him and beat him senseless with a bar stool and nobody there could stop him. The older guy is in St. Francis hospital in Peoria with a concussion, broken ribs, one lung collapsed, and the other damaged and is on a resperator, sad news. I think Herb could use all the prayers that he can get at this time and the one that beat him should end up in the joint for it. I myself learned a long time ago unless there are several people to break up a fight to just stay out of it but someone should have tried to stop him. He is an ex Army person but has a real bad chip on his shoulder and wants to be a tough azz. I really think he needs some help in a psiciatric ward, they said he just sort of flipped out on Herb and he has hurt several ofther younger guys in bar room fights. Please offer your payers for Herb that he pulls through and gets to enjoy his retirement for awhile. Thanks

Prayers are sent from Ohio! Hope he recovers from the abuse. I agree with you, papa, the fella that beat this other person needs to be sent away for a long time and possibly have a psychiatric evaluation done on him since this isn't the first time he has hurt someone by flipping out on them.
