Pike/Musky Baits

LIVE-BAITS.

Live Baits Consist Of Using Bait Being Small Or Large Fish That You Are Targeting, And Using What Is Natural To The Waters You Are Fishing To Catch Your Fish. When Fishing Live Bait I Like To Say That The Best Bait That Should Be Used As Far As Size Goes Is No Larger Than 8" Inches, Using This Size Will Also Make It Easier To Hook Your Pike/Musky When Setting The Hook. Live Bait Fishing Is Only Legal If The Bait You Are Using Comes From The Waters You Are Fishing, Be Sure To Check Out Your Laws On This Before Using A Live Bait.

Dead-Baits.

Dead Baits Have Been Used For Many Years And There Are Several Different Kinds Of Them That Can Be Used For Pike/Musky Fishing. Any Small Fish From About 8"Inches And Down Will Catch Pike Or Musky If Presented The Right Way, And Weather It Be Winter Threw The Ice Or Summer Under A Bobber. Some Fisheries Can Be Picky Eaters So Keep An Open Mind When Fishing Dead Baits Even Small Sea Fish Work To Catch Fish But Not In All Bodies Of Water, Here Are Some Pictures That I Came Across On The Net That I Use All The Time When Fishing Winter Or Summer.
SMELT.

SARDINE

ROACH

MACKEREL

HERRING

I never use dead bait so I like smelt and roach for pike bait so can't wait for ice fishing so love to use tipups for pike.
