Fishing trip 1-13-08
Well it was a fun day on the water. We fished from daylight til about 1:00 p.m. It started out about 27 degrees and got up to mid 40's for a high. The wind had shifted directions and was out of the west for the most part. The wind shift combined with the water temps rising had the fish scattered. The bite was slow but steady. The surface water temp has warmed up from 39 to 45.5 since last Saturday. We found most of the active fish on the 4 and 5 ft. flats today. Ended up with 16 blues and 2 channels total. Caught/Released 3 fish over 10. lbs. Bait used was fresh caught shad and frozen skipeye's J/K Darryl.
This is a picyure of the start of the day

This is a picture of Big Sam waiting on that first take down.

He didn't have to wait long

Heres on my Uncle Lonnie caught and released. 12 lbs.

Heres one of the eater size Sam caught

This was big fish of the day that Big Sam caught and released. 14 lbs.

Heres another one Sam caught/released. Also shows the back of my slime mobile . Gives you an idea why people say we look like a big spider on the water from a distance.

Heres a couple of releasing the bigger fish.

Heres one of the eaters we kept and cleaned

Thanks for the pictures. Looks like you had a good day. Were you fishing a lake or river?

This is Kerr Lake in Oklahoma, thats where I do most of my fishing. The thing about this trip is we just fished one spot that we have been to before and the rest of the day was trying new spots.
