They are aggravting little buggers in the summer when we are up there, the little 4 inchers love to steal your bait before the sunnies get to it. Last time we were up there in the winter, Mike we went over to Westport Lake,(we used to fish bullheads there when I was a kid) and caught a mess of nice perch up to about 10 inches. I swear I could eat those things till I puke and then sit down and eat some more. Man, are they good. Very Happy

Mike when I lived in Illinois, I use to go to Winthrop Harbor with my ultra lite, a few Lindy jig heads and a minnow bucket full of fatheads. And man you talk about some fun! In an hours time you could catch 200! I caught some that I swear were 14in to 15in long! Lake Michigan has huge numbers and giant size perch. I can remember when you were reeling one in ten or more would be trying to take that jig tip with the fathead minnow away! It was a blast! I forgot all about those little critters! Smile

well i don't really like to catch them in the summer but i sure like them in the winter, i the winter time there are days that that is the only fish you get get when the rest refuse to bite. i have many times went home and i speak a few years ago gone home with a 5 gallon bucket full, well them turned into fried perch, pickled perch, deep fried perch, perch chowder, and so on and so on. i still catch and go out to catch perch every winter just because they are awesome tasting fish. cheers cheers cheers
