Great Miami River

Post by FISHONAJ on Tue Feb 26, 2008 11:04 am

I read the recent flooding at Indian Lake put a whole fresh new batch of saugeye in the GMR. Yesterday the weather guessers predicted a "warmer" day with temps up to 40. Talked w/my buddy and agreed to drift a section we'd done well at in warmer weather.

Well i hate to have my 1st report @ BFM be a skunk, but i blanked. My bud snagged a carp and i just lost some jigs Embarassed Worse the wind was so strong and cold ~ at times it pushed the boat upstream against the current affraid With no bank ice melting, hard to believe it ever got above freezing. I called him this morning and we laughed saying how much warmer icefishing would have been Razz if we had safe ice :x

Well Your Not The Only One With Poor Reports, The Fishing Has Been Real Slow In My Area Also But On The Lakes. We Still Have 3 Feet Of Ice On The Lakes And The Rivers Are Covered In My Area So That Carp Sounds Like A Good Catch Right Now. Glad You Got Out And Thanks For Sharing The Report With Us. cheers cheers cheers
